dc.description.abstract After the spread of the contagious pandemic COVID-19, there arises a severe need of preventive mechanisms to stop the spread. Face mask is one of the primary preventive mechanisms. Proper use of face masks is an efficient way to control the spread of this infectious disease, but the effectiveness of facemasks has been diminished, mostly due to improper wearing. The basic aim of the project is to detect the presence of a face mask on faces on live streaming video. I will use deep learning to develop the face mask detector model. A face mask detection dataset consists of with mask and without mask images, I am going to use OpenCV to do real-time face detection from a live stream via webcam. I will build a COVID-19 face mask detector with computer vision using Python, OpenCV, and Tensor Flow and Keras. My goal is to identify whether the person on video stream is wearing a face mask or not with the help of computer vision and deep learning. en_US
