Liquid level indicator is a device meant to overcome the stress of opening reservoir or dipping rod into tank for gauging the level of liquid. The level indicator can be divided into three stages. The power supply stage, the control stage, the output stage. The main objective of this project is to develop an embedded system which will detect the level of water in a storage container. This circuit works on the principle that water conducts electricity. The system consist of a group of wires connected at different levels of tank namely quarter, half, three-fourth, full and a wire is connected to VCC and their output are taken on pins A3, A2, A1, A0 of controller circuit. The output of the control stage which is in digital form is being indicate. The level is detected based upon the number of probes touching the water surface and is indicated by liquid crystal display. This particular project is aimed at solving the problem encountered in determining liquid level in underground tanks
Main Components used are:
