This Project “Intelligent Parking System” is a reliable circuit that takes over the task of identifying free slots in a parking lot and keeping the record of vehicles parked very accurately. At the heart of this project is the ATmega32A microcontroller. It’s a low power 8-bit CMOS microcontroller based on AVR enhanced RISC architecture. It has 32k programmable flash memory, 1024 Bytes EPROM, 2k Byte SRAM, 32 general purpose I/O lines (4 ports), 32 general purpose registers and several other features. The microcontroller takes in input from different sensors and directs the vehicle towards free slot. The various techniques included in this system are, Vehicle Identification: This circuit identifies the entered vehicle. The RF transmitter fixed on vehicle send its unique id. RF receiver receives this code and sends it to the microcontroller. Microcontroller then decodes the signals and displays vehicle details,Free slot detection: This circuit identifies the free slots available in the parking area. This is done using IR transceiver. The available parking slot is then displayed in the LCD, and Payment calculation: As the vehicle leaves the lot the remuneration is calculated on the basis of time and is displayed automatically. |
