dc.description.abstract In this new era of automation everything is done by either man controlled or some parameter controlled equipments. Mission of our project is to check the absence of any person after an allotted time using microcontroller and RFID module. The presence of each person is determined using the RFID tag provided to each member. If any member is found missing after allotter time, the buzzer will become on and can be made off only if that missing person come. The provision to off the alarm for the authorized personnel using his tag is also provided. The main parts of this project are microcontroller (PIC16F877A), RFID tag and reader. Microcontroller is the heart of this project. RFID reader outputs are given to the microcontroller through serial communication ports. Microcontroller monitors these inputs continuously. If any missing is found after the allotted time, the microcontroller will send the signal to LCD display and buzzer. So the authorized person is informed about the missing and he can off the alarm using his RFID tag. MAX 232 interface is used in serial communication between RFID module and the microcontroller. en_US
