This paper presents a single phase five level inverter topology for grid connected PV system. A new pulse&#13;
width modulated (PWM) control scheme was introduced. In this scheme two reference signals identical to each other&#13;
and a triangular carrier wave was used to generate the switching signals. MPPT algorithm was implemented to catch&#13;
the maximum power point in the PV array. A proportional-integral control algorithm was also implemented for&#13;
obtaining high dynamic performance.
